The MTV Music Video Awards take place in New Jersey on Sunday

NEW YORK (AP) — The MTV Video Music Awards return on Sunday with some of the biggest names in music vying for the network’s legendary Moon Person statue.

Lil Nas X, Jack Harlow and Kendrick Lamar tied for the main nominees with seven each. Harlow and Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby” collaboration boosted their nominations, putting them in competition for Artist of the Year along with Drake, Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Lizzo.
