Super Junior ‘The Road: Keep on Going’: Release date, music video and all about the 11th album

Super Junior is finally back with an album. After the exciting release of their 10th album ‘The Renaissance’ in March 2021, we had a special winter release in February. And while fans missed idol Heechul in their track for SM’s ensemble album ‘SMCU Express’, all members are taking part in their upcoming album ‘The Road: Keep on Going’. This is their first comeback in over a year followed by their ninth world tour.

The title track “Mango” is co-written by SM’s favorite songwriter Ryan Jhun, who has worked with SHINee, EXO, and NCT and also created Super Junior-D&E’s “Breaking Up.” Member Eunhyuk participated in writing the lyrics for “Always.” “Don’t Wait” is a retro pop song that was pre-released on June 29.

Concept

Super Junior has released three teaser images. In the first concept, they wear elegant red suits and show off their youthful charms with floral accessories. In the second teaser, the men look dashing with minimal white makeup as they pose against a bare backdrop and red thread as their only accessory. For the third teaser, they flaunt their duality by changing into black fringed outfits and dark makeup.

Super Junior released a music video for the pre-release single “Don’t Wait” on June 29. “Don’t Wait” is a fun and upbeat retro song about getting ready to confess your true love. Super Junior’s witty charm is captured through the clever lyrics and comedic acting with leader Leeteuk who ends up playing the girl that all the members are in love with. The K-pop group is expected to release a teaser for the music video for “Mango” soon.

“Super Show 9” World Tour

While the group has been focusing on individual activities in 2021, we finally get full group schedules, including Heechul who took time off due to his past leg injury. This includes their ninth world tour titled “Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 9: Road”.

They will kick off with a 3-day concert in Seoul at Jamsil Stadium from July 15 to 17 and perform “Mango” for the first time. The final day of July 17 will be broadcast live on Beyond LIVE for international fans at 4 p.m. KST (3 a.m. ET). Tickets can be purchased from Beyond LIVE.

On June 30, Super Junior also announced their next stop in the Philippines. They will perform in Manila on August 6 at MOA Arena. Ticket sales will start from July 17 to SMTickets.
