Stormzy’s next music video is set to feature David Beckham, Gordon Ramsay and Louis Theroux.
The 28-year-old rapper began filming his comeback promo in London this week, and he’s lining up a number of big-name cameos.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Stormzy is going all out with his new project and he’s called on everyone he knows to get involved.
“He approached Emilia Clarke, Lewis Hamilton, Louis Theroux and Jonathan Ross, as well as David Beckham and Gordon Ramsay.
“Filming started yesterday and will go on all week, so fans should keep their eyes peeled.
“One place is the National Portrait Gallery. It will be a real spectacle.
“It’s a great look for them to be associated with him, so a lot of stars jumped at the chance.
“It’s just a matter of whether their schedules line up for it to work.”
Last month, the ‘Big for your Boots’ hitmaker confirmed that his third album will be released later this year.
The megastar kicked off his ‘Heavy is the Head’ UK tour in support of his second studio album at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena in South Wales, where it was announced that viewers would be the first to pre-order the follow-up at his acclaimed 2019 LP.
The ‘Vossi Bop’ hitmaker said in a video released during his set: “This is my dream album.
“This album is deeper than a man could ever imagine.
A press release said the Londoner had offered pre-orders at his gigs as a “personal gesture of gratitude to his loyal and supportive fans who have waited nearly two years for UK shows”.
Fans were offered a lanyard with a QR code to access the pre-order link.
The race, originally scheduled for 2019, had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Louis Theroux is set to interview Stormzy for a new six-part show on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
The 51-year-old documentary maker filmed an in-depth conversation with the touring music star and at Stormzy’s house for an episode.
He said: “Kicking off with the genius that is Stormzy is real pinch stuff. I can’t wait to get started.”
