St. Jean Baptiste Rebuild FUNdraiser Extravaganza attracts 300 people – Morinville News

Over 300 people participated in the St. Jean Baptiste Rebuild fundraising extravaganza held May 14 at the Morinville Community Cultural Center.

Premier Jason Kenney, MP Dane Lloyd, MP Garnett Genuis, MP Mark Smith, MP Dan Williams, Mayor of Morinville Simon Boersma and members of Council attended the event.

Also present were Bishop Paul Terrio, Diocese of St. Paul, Rev. Trini Pinea, Pastor St John the Baptist and Rev. Lester Evangelista Associate Pastor.

Members of the Morinville volunteer fire department were channeled by Claude Valcourt, followed by messages from Fr. Trini and Bishop Terrio, Prime Minister and Mayor Boersma.

Justin Pautonnier and Ed Bulger introduced the guests and hosted the evening.

Entertainment included Two Bad Apples with Rob Kaup and Danielle Edge, Jordan Imgrund-Havey, MCHS DramaLlamas and comedian Don Burnstick.

Auctioneer Dave Meunier led the live auction of a dinner for 8 hosted by Bishop Terrio, Father Trini and Father Lester’s dinner, which raised over $2,100.

The evening ended with the winners of the silent auction, the 50/50 winner, door prizes and the song You’ve Got a Friend in Me with Ed Bulger.
