DJ Sogood, a famous Nigerian and British disc jockey, record producer, media personality, event organizer, promoter and entrepreneur, has unveiled his plans for a music takeover in Nigeria this year. According to him, he started from humble beginnings by selling music CDs in a shop with his father in Peckham, UK, which sparked his love for music from an early age.

DJ Sogood was part of the group that launched London Peckham’s Rooftop BBQ. The parties were a hit among the locals with different genres of music played by himself and other disc jockeys from a rooftop in the city.

A career professional, he is one of the official disc jockeys of Afronation, Yam Carnival and Caribbean Splash. He was part of the group that brought Caribbean Splash with titles like Masicka Shenseea, Skinny Banton, Jab King, Nesbeth Caribbean Splash held at Brixton Academy in 2021 which was a mix of soca and dancehall.

Not one to forget his roots, he has worked with notable artists such as Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa savage.

At work he traveled abroad to countries where he collaborated with other artists like Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Crop over Barbados where he was with Dream, Weeknd.

DJ Sogood’s love of music has taken him to various places of influence where he is sure to be one of the wealthiest disc jockeys to emerge from the UK with businesses ranging from logistics , import and export, organization of events, record labels and a listening to new talents.

All his achievements, he says, set him apart and prepared him for his comeback to shake up the Nigerian music scene in the near future.

“I come to make my mark in the industry. My accomplishments are obvious to all. I released a new song weeks ago and there are more to come. Music lovers must be prepared. I am ready to make them feel so good,” he said.
